Please read this before using SA Advice Reviewer. It explains exactly what this tool is, what it isn't, and how your data is handled.
SA Advice Reviewer does not provide financial advice, and does not recommend, endorse, or discourage any product, fund, provider, or course of action. It is not a registered Financial Services Provider and is not licensed or authorised by the FSCA (or any regulator) to render financial advice under FAIS or any other legislation.
What it does do is review a financial plan, proposal, or record of advice you already have, and flag places where it may fall short of South African rules, regulatory benchmarks, and established financial-planning practice — so you have specific, informed questions to take back to your own licensed adviser. Nothing in a report should be treated as a substitute for advice from a suitably qualified, licensed financial adviser, and you should independently verify anything flagged before acting on it.
The core review is performed by our own custom, fine-tuned AI model — trained specifically to apply a South African financial-advice review rubric — not a general-purpose public chatbot. It runs on infrastructure we control, not inside a third-party consumer AI product.
Other parts of the pipeline (e.g. summarising the report in plain language, or researching a fund or provider's public standing) may use a general large-language model. Wherever a step could involve your personal information, it is routed to our own self-hosted model — never to a third-party AI provider.
• Your documents and the personal financial information extracted from them are never sent to a third-party AI provider (e.g. OpenAI, Google, Anthropic or similar), and are never used to train any external or publicly shared model.
• Where we research your adviser, product, or provider's public standing (e.g. regulatory status or press coverage), only the entity's name/identifier is used — never your personal or financial details.
• Your uploaded documents and review results are stored securely so that you can come back and view your own review history. They are not sold, shared with third parties, or used for marketing.
• This is currently an internal testing tool. Access is limited to invited test accounts, and our data-handling practices will continue to be hardened (encryption, retention limits, deletion on request) ahead of any wider release.
Ratings out of 10 reflect how many issues were found and how severe they are — they are an assessment of flag density, not a recommendation or a guarantee of quality.
Regulatory findings (e.g. FSCA registration status) are stated as verified facts with their source. All other findings — positive or negative — are publicly reported information, framed as such, with a source link; they are not accusations, and should be verified independently.
